What Is the Opatra DOME Skin Analysis?
The Opatra DOME is a professional facial-imaging system that allows us to examine your skin beyond what can be seen during an ordinary visual assessment.
Using specialized digital imagery, the system captures detailed images of the surface and subsurface appearance of your skin. These images help us evaluate areas such as pigmentation, sun damage, pores, congestion, texture, fine lines, hydration and visible sensitivity.
Your results give us a more complete picture of your skin and provide a helpful starting point for selecting appropriate products and treatments.
The Opatra DOME does not provide a medical diagnosis. Instead, it gives your aesthetician valuable visual information that can be interpreted alongside your skin history, lifestyle, current routine and personal goals.

15-Minute Opatra DOME Rescan
COMPLIMENTARY WITH A FACIAL
Available to returning clients who have previously completed an Opatra DOME scan with La Luma.
Your rescan allows us to capture updated images and compare them with your previous results. It is a simple way to monitor visible changes and see how your skin may be responding to treatments and home care.
This complimentary rescan must be booked as an add-on to a facial appointment.
Comprehensive Skin Consultation
45–60 MINUTES | $75
This is our most complete consultation experience and the best place to begin if you are unsure what your skin needs, struggling with ongoing concerns or ready to create a more intentional plan.
Your appointment includes an in-depth conversation, review of your current routine, professional skin assessment, Opatra DOME imaging, discussion of your results and personalized recommendations for home care and professional treatments.
Your consultation also includes a $25 credit toward skincare purchased through La Luma Spa & Aesthetics.

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
How to Prepare
Whenever possible, please arrive with clean skin and without makeup. If needed, makeup can be removed at the spa before your assessment.
Please bring the names, photographs or actual containers of the skincare products you currently use. This includes cleansers, serums, moisturizers, exfoliants, prescription products and sunscreen.
Before your appointment, think about the concerns that matter most to you. We will consider everything, but identifying your priorities helps us create a focused and realistic plan.
Please also tell us about any recent procedures, prescription skincare, allergies, skin reactions, health conditions or medications that may affect your skin or treatment options.

Do I need a consultation before booking a facial?

No. You may book a facial without completing a separate consultation. Your facial appointment includes a brief discussion and skin assessment so that your treatment can be customized.
The comprehensive consultation is recommended when you want an in-depth skin analysis, need help creating a home-care routine or have concerns that require more time and planning.
What is the difference between the free consultation and the $75 consultation?

The complimentary 15-minute consultation is a focused add-on to a facial. It provides time to discuss your primary concern, current products and treatment goals.
The $75 comprehensive consultation is a dedicated 45–60 minute appointment. It includes an in-depth assessment, Opatra DOME imaging, review of your results and personalized skincare and treatment recommendations. It also includes a $25 skincare credit.
Can I book the complimentary 15-minute consultation by itself?

No. The complimentary 15-minute consultation is available only as an add-on to a facial appointment. If you would like a separate appointment or need comprehensive recommendations, please book the 45–60 minute consultation.
Who can book the complimentary Opatra rescan?

The complimentary rescan is available to returning clients who have already completed an initial Opatra DOME scan at La Luma. It must be added to a facial appointment.
If you have never had an initial scan with us, please book the comprehensive skin consultation.
Do I need to purchase products?

No. There is no obligation to purchase products during your consultation.
Recommendations are made according to your skin’s needs, goals and budget. We can work with products you already own, identify where something may be missing and prioritize future purchases rather than replacing everything at once.
How does the $25 skincare credit work?

Is the Opatra DOME a medical diagnostic test?

No. The Opatra DOME is a professional skin-analysis and imaging system. It helps your aesthetician examine and document visible skin characteristics, but it does not diagnose medical skin conditions.
If we notice something that may require medical assessment, you may be advised to speak with a physician or dermatologist.
How often should I have a rescan?

The best timing depends on your treatment plan and goals. In many cases, allowing several weeks or months between scans provides a more meaningful comparison.
Your aesthetician will recommend an appropriate rescan schedule based on the products and treatments you are using.
